About me
Hello! I’m Tracey Warren.
I've been a full-time CV writer since 2020, but I've been helping people grow and develop, learning my craft and building my multidisciplinary professional portfolio for much longer.
Before I founded my own business, and with a lifelong thirst for learning and self-development, I had a varied career. I've worked and trained in finance, IT, project & programme management, health & safety, general business management, leadership and strategy. Looking back, my organic progression was fortuitously logical and has led me to a job that I love that makes a real difference to people's lives.
My professional journey sometimes meant making difficult decisions.
I've stayed too long in jobs or organisations that weren't working out, worked in toxic cultures, done my boss's job, battled office politics and had to dig deep to find resilience. I understand what it's like to feel unfulfilled, low in confidence and needing to learn how to take the next step.
But I've also experienced the very best of the workplace.
I've had some amazing mentors and managers, had the privilege of helping fantastic employees launch and progress their careers, and been gifted with opportunities for development. I’ve built and led wonderful teams and coached individuals through their own journeys. My progression through the ranks, between organisations and across specialities, helped to prepare me for the next chapter of my career as an accomplished CV writer.
I now aim to be the career guide for professional people that I never had.
As an 'ambivert' - naturally an introvert who can 'get out there' when I need to - I know how hard it can be to sell yourself. But my professional and leadership experience, coaching ethos, and ability to listen and ask the right questions means that I'm very good at helping others identify and realise their own skills, achievements and fabulous qualities.
In 2023 I was delighted to be awarded a Small Business Sunday award by former Dragons Den investor and business leader Theo Paphitis, joining his SBS community.
And I keep my skills current even when I'm not working with my CV writing clients.
I run my own CV training courses for job coaches, helping them to assist their unemployed clients to grow in confidence and find work, particularly in disadvantaged areas.
Between 2019 and 2024 I provided ad hoc financial, strategic business case support and academic proofreading services to a number of major projects at the University of Nottingham, including a brand new global online learning business. I'm also an 'accountability buddy' to a fellow business owner, helping her to achieve her business growth goals. In early 2021 I co-founded a successful business networking company, which I ran until July 2023, only giving this up to release more time to focus on my CV clients.
When I'm not writing CVs, you can find me out for a walk, mooching around a historic house or museum, enjoying a dance or yoga class, helping visitors have a great experience at Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire, puzzling over a crossword, or looking after my small flock of rescue chickens.

Why should you work with me?
I'm not just any old CV writer – I don't just 'talk the talk'; I 'walk the walk'. I've been there and done it – recruiting people, building and leading teams, setting the strategy and getting my hands dirty, learning a range of disciplines from the ground up.
My knowledge, experience and training allow me to understand your professional language. I have a skill for authentic writing, so the CV reads as if YOU wrote it.
I ask the right questions to elicit who you really are, creating a picture of the real you. Your achievements and personality will shine through on your CV.
I've helped countless people win their dream jobs and change their lives.
I don't outsource my client work. You work directly with me, benefiting from all my experience, high standards of quality, and personal service.
Time and again, my clients tell me that I'm easy to talk to and that I build their confidence.
Professionalism is vital to me, but I also like to bring my warm and engaging personality (so I'm told!) to everything I do. I'm very proud that a number of my clients have become good friends and sounding boards for my business.
